Story time! I have 2 cute little helpers who are bombarding me with their adorable candy pouch ideas.
Meet Rose (name changed). She has been a little entrepreneur for years, and after exhausting her enthusiasm for bows, she has decided designing embroidered candy pouches is more fun. Here’s her latest cute butterfly, which will probably end up on the website in about a week.
She does a lot of drawing, and she can run my smaller embroidery machine mostly by herself. Who knows, when she’s 10, I’ll teach her how to digitize too.
Just a little backstory on this determined entrepreneur, when she was 3 she became obsessed with Disneyland.🎢 After about a dozen times of me saying “I’m sorry, we can’t afford to go to Disneyland,” she changed her tactic. After watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, she asked me a different way.
“Mom, can I sell bows to earn money to go to Disneyland?”💝
She’s 3. Be still my proud little self-employed mother heart❣
So I took a year off of my business to help her do her business. After about 18 months, she had earned enough money💰💸 (and adoration from many adults), we went to Disneyland when she was 5. Her, her sister and brother, Mom and Dad. All 5 of us went because she was SOOOOO determined.👩👧👦👨👧 And it really was the happiest 3 days we have ever had together as a Family.
And now she is talking about making candy pouches and how much money and work it takes to take care of a horse.
What kind of monster have I created?
